St Patrick’s Day is this week and I’m looking for the most authentic places to enjoy some Irish stew, craic, and whiskey. Here are the best spots I’ve found to celebrate.
Fibber McGees – Sunset Beach
There’s a leprechaun in their logo, so you know they are legit. Live music from Beatles cover band Fab 2 sounds pretty fun.
The Pub of Southport – Southport
The Pub of Southport promises bagpipes at 10am, so I’m not sure if we need anything else.
HopLite Irish Pub and Restaurant – Carolina Beach
Hoplite has a full schedule of live music, special food menu and Guinness on tap.
Celtic Monkey Irish Pub and Grill – Wilmington
Celtic Monkey looks like they know how to party!
The Backstreet Pub – Beaufort

Lost Colony Brewery + Tavern – Manteo
Join their Ultimate St Patrick’s Day celebration for Irish food and drink specials all day long and Irish music by the O’Brothers from 5-8p.m.

How about a parade? It looks like it’ll be a great weekend for the Annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Nags Head. It gets started at 1p.m. on Saturday, March 20th.
